Norad Travel Group, the leading independent travel management company, today announced a renewal of its strategic technology partnership with Sabre Corporation for a further five years, following an extensive and far-reaching review by the TMC.
Norad Travel Group, the leading independent travel management company and travel specialist, has further enhanced its reputation as one of the UK’s most energetic and ambitious travel businesses with the news that Chairman Mick Gibbs has been appointed to the Executive Board of the Guild of Travel Management Companies [GTMC] for a three year term.
Norad Travel Group, the leading independent travel management company and travel specialist has successfully achieved accreditation against the new sixth-generation Investors in People [IIP] standard following its original Silver Accreditation assessment in 2013.
Reporting on the company’s recent formal reassessment against the new standard, Investors in People observed that there was no doubting the company’s continued commitment to the worldrecognised standard, which acknowledges organisations that meet the very best in people management excellence. ‘There has always been a real commitment from the CEO to using the Investors in People framework as a route map for improving the way the organisation leads, manages and develops its staff,’ stated the report, adding ‘This is a great achievement especially as there have been so many changes within Norad Travel Group over the past three years and the new IIP framework is more stretching.’
Group Finance Director Tara Foy is the Norad board member responsible for the company’s HR strategies. Commenting on this latest award, Tara said ‘It is highly gratifying to have our unique people culture validated through the new sixth-generation IIP framework, and is clearly a brilliant result for the Company. Since the last award a significant investment has been made in organizational infrastructure, both of an IT and technical nature, and in providing stronger central support to frontline teams.
