Norad Travel Group, the leading independent travel management company and travel specialist has successfully achieved accreditation against the new sixth-generation Investors in People [IIP] standard following its original Silver Accreditation assessment in 2013.
Reporting on the company’s recent formal reassessment against the new standard, Investors in People observed that there was no doubting the company’s continued commitment to the worldrecognised standard, which acknowledges organisations that meet the very best in people management excellence. ‘There has always been a real commitment from the CEO to using the Investors in People framework as a route map for improving the way the organisation leads, manages and develops its staff,’ stated the report, adding ‘This is a great achievement especially as there have been so many changes within Norad Travel Group over the past three years and the new IIP framework is more stretching.’
Group Finance Director Tara Foy is the Norad board member responsible for the company’s HR strategies. Commenting on this latest award, Tara said ‘It is highly gratifying to have our unique people culture validated through the new sixth-generation IIP framework, and is clearly a brilliant result for the Company. Since the last award a significant investment has been made in organizational infrastructure, both of an IT and technical nature, and in providing stronger central support to frontline teams. And the Norad Academy, which sets out to develop young people in line with building the Company’s capabilities is going from strength to strength, creating a diverse workforce and introducing fresh ideas into the business as a result.’

Norad Travel Group, the Hampshire-based travel agency chain, has further strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Nick Payton as Regional Operations Manager for its leisure travel division.
Nick brings over 20 years of management experience to Norad, including 11 years in the luxury travel sector with Audley Travel and latterly Abercrombie and Kent. Beginning his career with Audley as a South East Asia specialist, Nick moved into sales management before subsequently moving to Abercrombie and Kent where his skills ensured swift career progress to ultimately become General Manager of Sales and Operations.

Norad Travel, the Hampshire-based holiday and concierge service from Norad Travel Group, celebrated another successful local event, held at Petersfield Golf Club on the evening of 4 July.
With a focus on a specific destination or theme and in collaboration with specialist tour operators, these occasions offer both inspiration and advice. Over the last year our diverse range of events have encompassed the Caribbean, Latin America, China, Europe and river cruising.
Our recent soiree was held on American Independence Day in celebration of the beauty of North America. Our travel partners for the evening were North America Travel Service, Rocky Mountain International and Fairmont Hotels. Experts were on hand to offer information on the range of holidays available and the presentations showcased some of the region's highlights.
Sarah Tichacek, Personal Travel Advisor at Norad Travel, said of the event 'These occasions offer existing guests and those new to Norad Travel the opportunity to come along and learn more about the world and holidays available. The evening was really well attended, showing the interest out there in USA and Canada holidays'.
Hosted events are just one of the ways Norad Travel keeps in touch with the local community. Sarah is often seen at networking groups and fayres hosted by local schools and community halls raising awareness of our travel planning and holiday service. However, most of her time is spent at our Liss office greeting guests and discussing their holiday plans.
Sarah has over 27 years' experience of working in the travel industry and is exceptionally well travelled. This combined knowledge and experience helps to create magical holidays that are suited to her client's requirements.

Norad Travel Group, the independent travel specialist and leading travel management company [TMC] has announced a refreshed branding to coincide with its 35th year birthday celebrations.
The new branding has been designed to reflect the Group’s transition to a more diverse portfolio of travel interests, following the acquisition of TTG Top 50 Leisure Travel Agency Howard Travel of Trowbridge in 2015 and more recently the Northern Ireland independent Erne Travel in March of this year.
