Norad Travel is gearing for growth

Norad Travel Group has announced changes to its management structure and key personnel as it pursues Chairman Mick Gibbs’ ambitious growth plans for the expanded business.
Following the successful assimilation of the Howard Travel acquisition in 2015 the enlarged Group is approaching its 35th year anniversary in May of this year in confident form and with an anticipation of further growth, through both strong organic performance and additional strategic acquisitions.
‘2016 represents a watershed point in the evolution of the Norad Travel Group as a substantial and significant travel industry presence,’ explains Mick Gibbs. ‘We have been tremendously successful in bringing our special blend of supreme technical know-how and utter dedication to customer service to the benefit of Norad’s corporate and leisure customers. We have now outgrown many of our structures and systems as a result of that success, so these changes are intended to ensure we protect this individual ethos whilst at the same time ratcheting up our energy and momentum in order to maintain this exciting growth trajectory.’
Linda Foote, Managing Director Leisure Travel at Norad, has been with the Company for all of its 35 years and now takes on an even wider remit as Group Managing Director. ‘Every one of us here strives to deliver to the company values of integrity, innovation and excellence each and every day’ Linda stated, ‘It’s always been what sets us apart and the task for the leaders of our business is to retain this focus as we grow in size, influence and geographical presence.’
Further management appointments include Bob Govan, who joins as Group Commercial Director, lining up alongside Mick Gibbs again since they were last together at AA Travel. Kelly Luney becomes Group IT Solutions Director, Debbie Bond is the new Business Travel Operations Manager whilst Stuart Mable joins as IT Manager and Paul Hutchinson as Corporate Sales Manager to complete the crop of new arrivals.
