Norad Chairman Mick Gibbs appointed to GTMC Board
Norad Travel Group, the leading independent travel management company and travel specialist, has further enhanced its reputation as one of the UK’s most energetic and ambitious travel businesses with the news that Chairman Mick Gibbs has been appointed to the Executive Board of the Guild of Travel Management Companies [GTMC] for a three year term.
The GTMC is the UK’s representative body for Travel Management Companies (TMC’s), whose members collectively look after more than 80% of all managed travel booked in this country. The GTMC works to raise awareness of the vital role of business travel within the broader economy, lobbying governments, EU legislators, travel suppliers and the media to ensure that members’ perspectives and requirements are represented at the highest level. Key industry partners include major airlines, airports, accommodation providers, rail, car rental and technology companies.
Increasingly recognised as an authentic and influential industry presence, Mick Gibbs wants to help the Guild to energise the scope and long-term health of business travel, and has also taken on the chair of the important GTMC Technology Sub-Committee, in addition to his new board duties.
